Outreach Program to feature in UNDPs 'Nature for Life Hub' 2022
The Miyawaki Forest Outreach Program was selected to feature in this year's United Nations Development Program's 'Nature for Life Hub'. The forest program will be showcased via a video on Day 3, November 30th in the second session titled "Creating a Planetary Safety Net."
This session will be live around Noon or 1PM EST. All content will be available on the Hub outside the live broadcast times.
Taking place just after COP27 in Egypt, and just before COP15 in Montreal, the Nature for Life Hub three-day virtual event happening from 28-30 November is positioned to build on what was missed at COP27 and what needs to happen at COP15, as world leaders negotiate the Post-2020 Global Biodiversity Framework. Free and open to the public, the virtual event produced by UNDP and over 50 partners will provide a unique, interactive experience for participants to “choose-your-own-adventure” throughout the online platform where they can dive into topics such as systems change for nature, greening finance, and the rights of Indigenous peoples. The event will be livestreamed in English from 9AM-3PM EST each day with all content available in multiple languages on the online platform.
